| Grocery Store Circulars and Grocery Shopper CardsMost grocery chains today offer a store card that will give you a discount on different items each week. These are usually free of charge and can give you a lot of savings. You should have a card for all the grocery stores you frequent. When checking out at the register, always have them scan your card to reap the extra benefits. As an added incentive, the store card from many grocery chains today will also give you savings at other locations, such as restaurants, concert and show tickets, hair salons, music stores, on line shops, etc. Ask your someone at the customer service store for the other locations that their card can be used. Another benefit of the grocery card is the coupons that you will receive in the mail. Every few months, my grocery store sends me special coupons, only for card holders. Make sure not to check the box that asks them not to send any mailings when you sign up for your grocery shoppers card. The main benefit of the card, is that you will be able to save on special items each week. These items are usually presented in the grocery store's weekly circular although some are "in store" offers. If you do not receive the circular in the mail or in your weekly newspaper, go to the store prior to shopping and pick one up. Just be aware that the circulars in the stare are not always the same as the ones delivered to your home. Ask the store manager for a version of the circular that gets mailed out and how you may be able to get one delivered to your home. (Read More: How to Properly Use the Grocery Store Circular)
